Mantescan privacy policy.

Effective date: August 17, 2026. This page describes how the Chrome extension handles data and permissions.

Overview

Mantescan runs only when the user starts a scan from the extension popup.

Data Handling

  • Mantescan does not collect, sell, transmit, or analyze user data on external servers.
  • Page analysis is performed locally in Chrome after user action.
  • The scan reads visible page structure, computed styles, page title, page URL, element selectors, and short text previews.
  • Scan results are shown in the extension interface for the user to copy or review.
  • Mantescan does not upload page content to a server.
  • Mantescan uses page information only to generate the local brand, UI system, and design consistency report.
  • Mantescan does not use analytics and does not load remote code.

Permissions

  • activeTab: Lets Mantescan inspect only the current active tab after the user starts a scan.
  • scripting: Injects the packaged scan helper into the current page to inspect visible page structure and styles.
  • clipboardWrite: Copies generated scan output to the user's local clipboard when the user requests it.

Remote Code

Mantescan does not load remote code. All executable code is included in the extension package submitted to the Chrome Web Store.
